By Mary Taruvinga THREE Harare men have been arrested on allegations of jamming a vehicle of an unsuspecting friend and making off with US$90 000. The three are Tsungai Mazanhi (33), Tawanda Machingauta (37), and Valentine Genko (27) whose luck ran out after they were captured on CCTV cameras at Marimba Shopping Centre in Belvedere committing the crime. They appeared before Harare Dennis Mangosi facing theft charges and were remanded in custody to Monday for bail consideration. One of the suspects, Farai Kachepa is still on the run. According to prosecutors, on June 15, 2021, at Marimba shopping complex, the accused persons hatched a plan to steal the cash from the complainant. ....
In the Palmerston North District Court on Wednesday, Kalivati pleaded guilty to charges of money laundering. Other drug-related charges were dropped.
