These Redditch groups will receive thousands in grants

SEVERAL voluntary and community sector groups in Redditch are set to receive a share from a £35k council grant pot.
Redditch Nightstop, the Old Needle Works Foundation and Where Next Association, are some of the successful groups to get a funding boost.
Bidding for the grant opened in February and the second round of funding will take place in the autumn of this year.
Anyone applying for grant funding from these pots can bid for anything between £500 and £7,500 to help with core costs, salaries or for community events, projects, and activities.
Voluntary Community Sector Grants Coordinator, Ann Dallison, said: “We had so many excellent bids entered for this round of grants. We have no doubt that the successful bids will have a huge impact on the local community and support lots of our residents in navigating their way back to a post-covid world. For those unsuccessful applicants, please do not hesitate to get in touch regarding other forms of support ....

But adjust we did with everyone from our client-facing teams to support colleagues, working together to ensure that our service was uninterrupted and our people were supported as we managed the transition.
Since then, we have been working pretty much exclusively from home. A step-change that has tested our agility and resilience but one in which we have maintained good levels of productivity, excellent client service and positive engagement and well-being amongst colleagues.   ....

Carlisle City Council backs national mental health and wellbeing imitative

It is time to talk about mental health and wellbeing.
That is the message from Carlisle City Council which is backing national Time to Talk. Time to Change day.

The wellbeing of council staff is a priority and they regularly organise support sessions hosted by their Mental Health Champions. An independent Employee Assistance Programme is also available 24/7.
Cllr Elizabeth Mallinson, Portfolio holder for Health and Wellbeing said: “We take mental health issues very seriously. Lots of us have felt worried about the coronavirus pandemic, and everyone will feel differently about the changes to lockdown restrictions. ....
