The first merger among nine presidential contenders of the ruling Democratic Party (DP) has been made since the party started its primary race last week, hinting at the possibility of more unifications to defeat the front runner, Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung.  ....

Lee Kwang-jae, un député du parti présidentiel, le Minjoo, a renoncé ce matin à se présenter à la présidentielle de 2022 pour soutenir l’ancien Premier ministre Chung Sye-kyun. Un accord qui découle notamment de l’opinion publique. Chung a expliqué que leur collaboration servirait à élaborer des dispositifs pour une économie axée sur l’avenir et à créer une politique de l’innovation et de l’intégration. La formation au pouvoir compte désormais huit prétendants.
Lee Nak-yon, l’ancien président du Minjoo, a quant à lui déclaré officiellement sa candidature dans une vidéo mise en ligne. Dans le clip, sous le slogan « Un pays qui protège ma vie », il présente ses cinq visions dont le nouveau bien-être, le développement de la classe moyenne et un pays puissant en termes de culture. ....

Nine candidates have been confirmed to run in the ruling Democratic Party’s (DP) presidential primary. The part where we should focus is whether the eight chasing runners would unify to beat the party’s leading hopeful, Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung.
The ruling DP completed Wednesday the registration of preliminary candidates for the presidential election. They include two former prime ministers, Lee Nak-yon and Chung Sye-kyun, three incumbent governors including Lee Jae-myung, Yang Seung-jo and Choi Moon-soon, three incumbent lawmakers including Park Yong-jin, Kim Du-kwan, and Lee Kwang-jae, and former min ....
