Police probe CQ jewellery theft and stolen ATM

Police are continuing investigations into two destructive thefts in Central Queensland, targeting two separate businesses in Moranbah and Clermont before Christmas.
CCTV footage revealed the alleged thieves entered by prying open the doors to the shopping complex on Saint Francis Drive.
Police revealed the unknown persons left the premises in a northerly direction along Saint Francis Drive, in a red Holden Commodore sedan, believed to be a VX – VZ model Commodore.
Police were called to the Grand Hotel about 6.50am on December 24 after a hotel manager woke to find the destruction.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the building at the corner of Capella and Daintree St was severely damaged, with a whole wall ripped out during the theft of the ATM. ....

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Columbia Police Department has arrested two people in connection with a scam investigation.
Property Crime investigators say Dennis R. Gadson and Shannon N. Green-Thomas allegedly defrauded the female victim out of $30,000 on October 24, 2020.
At the time of the scam, Gadson was the owner and operator of Noisy Wings restaurant on Bluff Road.
Officials say Gadson and Green-Thomas advertised for franchise opportunities for the restaurant. The victim later met the suspects on Bluff Road and gave them cash for the ‘franchise rights’ to operate the Noisy Wings location in Lexington. ....
