When Anna and Craig Patrick bought their first house in Manhattan, Kansas, in 2013, it was an enjoyable experience.
They had plenty of time to look at multiple houses, and there was no rush to make an offer.
“I remember it was so fun,” Anna Patrick said.
Fast forward to 2021. The Patricks started looking in January for a house in Wichita with enough room for the couple and their three boys. And this time, they encountered a housing market where there aren’t enough homes for sale to meet the demand from interested buyers.

Rotary Clubs donate $23,000 to Wade Bourne Nature Center Foundation

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The three Rotary Clubs in Clarksville – Clarksville Rotary, Sunset Rotary and Sunrise Rotary –recently banded together to spread some holiday cheer.
The clubs sponsored a new Nature Adventure Trail Play Pod with a $23,000 gift to the Wade Bourne Nature Center Foundation. The funds were raised in part from the Clarksville Rotary Clubs’ Christmas Tree Extravaganza & Auction, the first holiday fundraiser of its kind for the three clubs.
“We are blessed to have such an awesome and active group of Rotarians in our community. I don’t believe there are any Rotary groups anywhere that are as good as the ones we have right here in Clarksville-Montgomery County,” said Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett. ....
