He was born April 16, 1959, in Wilmington. He graduated from John T. Hoggard High School with the Class of 1977. After attending Western Carolina University, he obtained an electronics degree from Cape Fear Community College. He had a long career in the installation and repair of fiber optics with SIECOR. He later became an independent contractor and the owner of Taylor Communications in Greensboro. His hobbies included handyman, interior remodeler, auto-mechanic, YouTube enthusiast and he enjoyed fishing. Robert Arnold ‘Bob,’ ‘Bobby’ Taylor Jr. CHARLESTON, S.C. Robert Arnold “Bob,” “Bobby” Taylor Jr., 62, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018. He was born March 28, 1956, in Wilmington, North Carolina. He graduated from John T. Hoggard High School with the Class of 1974. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry from North Carolina State University with the Class of 1979. While attending NCSU, he became president of FarmHouse International Fraternity, motto: “Builder of Men.” He earned his Master’s Degree in Administration from Western Kentucky University in 1980. Bob’s strong management and leadership skills were evident throughout his lifetime.
