Staten Island has seen its share of the small screen over the years even if you didn’t always know it. Many TV and streaming shows have used the borough as a backdrop. While some have referenced Staten Island, others have transformed the Island into unrecognizable spots. All that said, here are 28 shows you may not know were filmed on Staten Island. Around 2008, The CW’s “Gossip Girl” took over the St. George Theatre and a major part of Hyatt Street for filming purposes. According to those who recall the shoot, production crew spent two days taking down the theater’s elaborate Christmas tree and other holiday decorations in December 2008. ....
