Baldwin woman arrested for cruelty to animals KATC News and last updated 2021-02-17 17:53:15-05 BALDWIN, La. â The Baldwin Police Department arrested a Baldwin woman on Sunday for two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals after finding two dead dogs on her property that had been left to starve. Demis Bowie Romar, 48, of Baldwin was booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail on Feb. 14 before she was released on a $7,500 bond Sunday evening. KATC Investigates obtained the police report for Romar s arrest, which states that the responding officer found two deceased, emaciated dogs in an outside kennel at Romar s residence. ....
Juanita DeBow TUPELO â Juanita DeBow, 91, of Tupelo, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Countrywood Assisted Living Center in Mantachie. She was born July 20, 1929 in Tremont, MS to Byron and Arnie Stevens Stone. She married Eugene DeBow June 12, 1948. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and loved traveling. A private graveside service will be Friday, February 19, 2021 in Lee Memorial Park. A memorial service will be at a later date. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. She is survived by husband, Eugene DeBow; two sons, Michael (Rebecca) DeBow of Birmingham and Scott DeBow of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Andrea DeBow, Claire DeBow Cotten, and John DeBow and three great grandchildren, Lily Grace Tackitt, Laurel Rebecca Cotten, and Ella Margaret Cotten. ....

Wednesday morning, all bridges on US 90 in St. Mary Parish due to the formation of ice. The closures, according to state police, involved LA 83 (Baldwin), LA 3211 (Franklin), LA 3215(Garden City), and LA 317(Centerville). Traffic was allowed to exit and re-enter past the overpasses, state police say. Hwy 90 was also closed this morning beginning at La 83 and extending to Calumet. ....
