JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Blue Jay baseball dropped two games to Mandan on Tuesday night as the Braves defeated Jamestown 4-1 and 5-2. Mandan got in the scoring column in the second inning of game one when the Braves scored three runs, including two off of a triple by Ben Kleinknecht. Mandan would add an additional run in the seventh to lead 4-0 going into the bottom of the last inning. Jamestown would create some havoc in the bottom of the seventh when the Jays put runners on the corners with one out for Mason Lunzman. The sophomore delivered an RBI single into right field for the lone run of game one for Jamestown. The Blue Jays would end up flying into a 7-2 double play to end the game and give Mandan a 4-1 victory. ....
JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Blue Jay baseball team took two games from Watford City over the weekend as they defeated the Wolves 13-2 and 16-2. It took until the late stages of game one for the bats to fully break out for Jamestown as the Jays scored 11 of their 13 runs in the final three innings of the first game. Jackson Walters went 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs driven in, and Ty Monson brought in a run with a double. Max Fronk finished game one 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Jakob Schempp earned the victory on the hill for Jamestown, his second win of the season. ....

JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown baseball team dominated Dakota Wesleyan on both Saturday and Sunday and capped off the weekend with an 8-0 win at Jack Brown Stadium. Kendall Yackley pitched the best game of the weekend for the Jimmies, going seven innings and striking out eight Tiger batters. Yackley improved to 3-0 on the year and threw 101 total pitches while allowing just five hits. Luke Shekeryk got Jamestown going in the first inning with a two-run blast over the left field wall to put the Jimmies ahead 3-0. Shekeryk finished the day 3-for-4 with three runs driven in and a run scored. Lincoln Trujillo also hit a two-run homer over the left-field wall as well for his fifth home run of the year. ....

Seventeen Jimmie batters went to bat, with 13 of them scoring on 12 hits, two walks, and an error against three Concordia-Moorhead pitchers, resulting in an 18-13 win over the Cobbers. UJ hit five home runs in the frame, including a solo home run by Luke Shekeryk (JR/Seattle, WA) to lead off the inning. After Dylan Dudley (JR/Cottage Grove, OR) singled and Matt Meraz (SR/Aurora, CO) walked, Brice Foster (SR/Lynnwood, WA) smashed a three-run homer to cut the deficit to 12-10.
