The University of Chakwal is in the grip of tuition mafia, students told The Express Tribune.
They said that Public Instruction Colleges in Punjab Directorate has issued orders that no professor in government service will teach in any private college or tuition centre.
However, students alleged that many professors of the university have not only opened their tuition academies but some mark attendance in the campus and go to teach in private colleges.
Professors being public servants are barred from taking up private jobs while in service. In this regard, it will be necessary to obtain permission from the competent authority. ....
