NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - One person has been transported to the hospital following a shooting at an apartment complex in North Charleston Monday night.
It happened at the Fairwind-Oakfield Apartments on Fairwind Drive off of Otranto Road.
The incident started at 6:35 p.m. when a North Charleston police officer was in the area of 8750 Fairwinds Drive and heard gunshots nearby.
The responding officer reported seeing a male subject running from an apartment building, engaged in a foot pursuit, and apprehended him. The officer said a firearm was recovered.
