For a Mike Zimmer led team it was rather odd, as the Vikings ranked 27th in total yards allowed and 29th in total points allowed. Thankfully for Vikings fans, and pretty much the rest of the world, 2020 is now in the rear-view mirror. Things are starting to get back to normal and that includes a ton of hype circulating around the new look Vikings defense. It was clear that the Vikings knew their defense wasn’t good enough last season, as the majority of their free agency dollars and draft capital were used to repair the unit. ....
2022 Offseason Moves I m making a few assumptions here. 1) I m going off of my 2021 season prediction, which has the Vikings going 10-7, winning the North, beating the Bears in the WC, and getting blown out by the Tampa Bay Bucs in the Divisional. 2) The cap space being at the maximum $208.2 Mil. Now,, I m under the firm belief that all of the moves that have happened this off-season is to have one final shot with the guys that we have. Copied! EAGAN, Minn. The Vikings put in a solid day of work Wednesday morning at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center. Minnesota practiced for roughly two hours, with 83 of 87 players on the roster in attendance for the voluntary session. A quartet of Vikings (defensive ends Danielle Hunter, cornerbacks Patrick Peterson and Jeff Gladney and linebacker Chazz Surratt) were not seen around the practice field. Christian Darrisaw, a rookie first-round pick, watched in shorts and a sweatshirt. Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday that he was Eric Kendricks and Cameron Dantzler were present and went through individual drills, but did not take part in team sessions. ....
