Det skriver Jyllands-Posten på baggrund af aktindsigter i tusindvis af dokumenter og samtaler med flere end 50 tidligere anbragte, deres forældre og ansatte på opholdsstedet. Børn og unge, der havde været udsat for omsorgssvigt, eller som havde forskellige svære diagnoser, blev anbragt på stedet. Under deres ophold blev flere udsat for tvangsløbeture, ulovlig tilbageholdelse af ejendele og nedværdigende behandling, ligesom flere børn blev kaldt øgenavne.
