Gennem 20 år fortalte børn og unge om ulovlige forhold på opholdsstedet Schuberts Minde i Ringkøbing til kommunale sagsbehandlere og tilsyn, uden at myndighederne greb ind.
Det skriver Jyllands-Posten på baggrund af aktindsigter i tusindvis af dokumenter og samtaler med flere end 50 tidligere anbragte, deres forældre og ansatte på opholdsstedet.
Børn og unge, der havde været udsat for omsorgssvigt, eller som havde forskellige svære diagnoser, blev anbragt på stedet.
Under deres ophold blev flere udsat for tvangsløbeture, ulovlig tilbageholdelse af ejendele og nedværdigende behandling, ligesom flere børn blev kaldt øgenavne.

Republican lawmakers across the country are moving to restrict teaching about systemic racism in our education system, targeting critical race theory. But in the course of doing so, some are attempting to rewrite a very pertinent part of that history.
Twice in recent weeks, Republican state lawmakers have defended the infamous “Three-Fifths Compromise” the constitutional agreement by which enslaved people would count as three-fifths of a person for representation purposes by arguing that it was actually somehow anti-slavery.

Forums scheduled to present findings, address questions about UDâs future
Five community forums have been scheduled for May to share the work of the University of Delawareâs strategic planning sub-committees and gather feedback regarding the future of UD.
The forums will help inform the Universityâs strategic planning process this spring, said UD President Dennis Assanis, who has charged five committees with refreshing the institutional plan in light of the challenges and opportunities ahead as the University emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic.
âThe UD community demonstrated tremendous resilience and strength during the pandemic, and we are now poised to chart an exciting new path at this pivotal moment in our history,â Assanis said. âWe need everyoneâs insights and ideas to ensure that we move forward thoughtfully, boldly and, most importantly, together as one University.�
