AECOM (NYSE:ACM), the worlds premier infrastructure consulting firm, announced today that, in association with its joint venture partners Pick Everard and Gleeds, it has secured two lots under the new SCAPE Consultancy framework in the United Kingdom. The joint venture, called Perfect Circle, has been appointed to deliver the Built Environment and Infrastructure Consultancy lots for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, which have a combined value of nearly $800 million. SCAPE is the UK’s leading public sector procurement authority.

Mace and Arcadis among winners on £1bn Scape framework

Scape chief executive Mark Robinson said the new framework was developed after extensive consultation with clients and the industry. “It means our new frameworks are not only hugely comprehensive but incredibly pertinent to a public sector now leading the UK’s push to build back better, build back greener and that is eager to help accelerate the economic recovery,” he said.

Winners of Scape's £1bn consultancy frameworks revealed | News

Mace, Faithful + Gould and Arup have won places on Scape’s two consultancy frameworks worth £1bn in total.
Two joint ventures won the remaining places on the deals. Triskelion is a joint venture of Arcadis, Sweco and Fairhurst, and Perfect Circle is a team of Pick Everard, Gleeds and Aecom.

Place North West | Sands Centre redevelopment kicks off

Main contractor Wates Construction has started work on site to deliver the £21.5m leisure and community hub in Carlisle.
The project will see a redevelopment and expansion of the current Sands Centre sports and entertainment venue in central Carlisle off Bridgewater Road to add almost 40,000 sq ft – more than doubling its existing footprint to 100,265 sq ft.
Set across two storeys and accessed by a bespoke, internal ‘street’, the new centre will include a reception area, four-court sports hall, a 25-metre eight-lane swimming pool and 20-metre learner pool with moveable floor, wet and dry changing facilities, a 120-station fitness suite, dance studios, a café, bar and physiotherapy suite. ....
