The decision about granting three percent reservation to the people living within six kilometres from the International Border in the direct recruitment for Government jobs, admission in professional institutions and post-graduate courses on the lines of people living along the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan was taken in the year 2019. ....

During his visit, Sinha took stock of the project for development of the Purmandal- Utterbehni religious tourism circuit under Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD). He took a detailed review of developmental projects at Purmandal which included construction of paved path/track to the temple complex, construction of view points, up-gradation of bathing ghats, installation of focus light and poles with high mast lights and solar lights. ....
