Black to Its Board of Directors Sensata Technologies Holding plc (NYSE: ST) today announced that Daniel L. Black has been appointed to Sensatas Board of Directors. Mr. Black is a Managing Partner at The Wicks Group, a private equity firm focused on tech enabled business and consumer services companies. Mr. Black is involved in all investment and management activities at Wicks and serves on the boards of its portfolio companies. Mr. Black currently serves as a Trustee for the Advent Convertible Securities Fund, as a member of the Dartmouth College Board of Trustees, and on the executive board of Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership, a not-for-profit educational organization. ....
SunStar + December 17, 2020 VISAYAN Electric is exploring ways to reduce the power rate in Metro Cebu following its recent dialogue with the business community. Visayan Electric president and chief operating officer Raul Lucero on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, said the utility firm is coming up with a plan on how to cut the power rates vis-a-vis the firm’s existing contracts with independent power producers (IPP). “We still have to calculate how much we can negotiate with the IPPs. We are still starting to talk to them,” said Lucero, adding that they hope to see progress in the first quarter of 2021. But he stressed that Visayan Electric cannot just modify the contracts they have entered into with the IPPs. ....

The Davao City Government, in partnership with the Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC), GET Philippines, and QEV Technologies in Spain recently launched the Business for Environmentally Sustainable Transformation (Best) Bus project. Best Bus is environmentally sustainable as it is 100-percent electric and fully airconditioned. DLPC said the project aims to leave a lasting impact on the environmental sustainability of the city and the country by significantly reducing harmful emissions, maximizing available new technologies and encouraging inclusive benefits for all. ....
