The prime minister while chairing the EAC meeting through video link directed the forum to present roadmap for economic stability and sustainable growth. The prime minister directed the finance minister to ensure the full functioning of the Council, which makes recommendations on important issues related to the country’s economy. Ranchi: Unruly scenes unfolded at the Hatia railway station on Friday evening as passengers arriving from Mumbai on-board the Lokmanya Tilak – Hatia Special Express broke through barricades to evade Covid tests upon arrival. District officials and RPF personnel of Ranchi railway division remained silent spectators as the overwhelming crowd of passengers violated all safety protocols upon arrival. As many as 1,700 passengers had hopped off the train upon its arrival at Hatia station around 3:15 pm. “There were ample number of RPF personnel to ensure crowd management and social distancing norms. As per protocol, each passenger had to be put through testing by the health teams deployed by the administration at the station. But after a while, the passengers turned unruly and broke through barricades,” a senior divisional official said on condition of anonymity. ....
