A fundraising campaign has been set up by friends of Duncormick woman Trina Cleary to help her travel abroad for potentially life-saving treatment. Trina (36) was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018 and underwent gruelling surgeries and treatments before becoming cancer-free in 2019. But last year, just after lockdown restrictions began, she discovered that the cancer had returned. During her own battle, the Wexford woman has selflessly sought to raise public awareness of the importance of early detection through her Instagram and Facebook pages, a blog called A Day in the Life of Tri and high-profile media interviews. She is now at a crossroads in her treatment, living between three-monthly scans to detect whether her tumours are stable or not. She is grateful to her medical team whom she credits with doing an amazing job so far but has decided to explore other treatments abroad to run alongside her current treatment, to prolong her life for as long as she poss ....
