Long before the COVID-19 pandemic, the concept of “resilience” had become a buzzword for the United Nations and other development partners – but what does it actually mean, and how can development partners support it in practice? A joint initiative of UNDP and the Australian Embassy in Cambodia may provide some answers.
The Stockholm Resilience Centre defines resilience as ‘the capacity to deal with change and continue to develop’. Using this definition, development partners can understand our role as supporting communities to adapt to changes and seize the development opportunities they entail. ....

Ladysmith Black Mambazo to headline global ‘Sounds of Celebration’ concert
Ladysmith Black Mambazo and other big names will be stepping onto the virtual stage at Sounds of Celebration this Sunday.
Sounds of Celebration concert which will be streamed on 23 May. 
Ladysmith Black Mambazo boast an illustrious career with no less than five Grammy awards under the belt, as well as and featuring on Paul Simon’s
Graceland album.
Swing Low Sweet Chariot, for the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
The virtual concert will also feature Wouter Kellerman and the Vienna Boys’ Choir.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo to headline global concert ‘Sounds of Celebration’
“Sounds of Celebration” is back with a bang.
For the first time in eight years, this collaboration between Education Africa and Sydenham Shul presents a concert to an international audience.
Under the theme “Simunye (We Are One)” the musical extravaganza will be broadcast and streamed online on Sunday, May 23.
The virtual concert will feature local and international stars and groups, including Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Wouter Kellerman as well as the Vienna Boys’ Choir.
Joining the festivities is Gregory Maqoma (South Africa), Nina Oud (UAE), Gad Elbaz (USA), The Solomon Brothers (Israel), Pops Mohamed (South Africa) and Justin Wilman (UK). ....
