Paige Costa, a 2020 graduate of Thomas College, is the co-owner and co-founder of North Star Apothecary in Fairfield. Costa was serving medicinal marijuana patients at the business recently.

Less than a month after graduating from Thomas College last May, Paige Costa opened her first retail storefront.
Costa, 21, is the co-founder and managing partner at North Star Apothecary, a small-batch, artisanal medical cannabis dispensary on U.S. Route 201 in Fairfield. The brightly lit 400-square-foot space is the first retail lens of her family’s North Star Farm. ....

A winner from the contest will be selected to participate in an episode on Greenlight Maine s Collegiate Challenge in the spring of 2021.

Central Maine college students presented business pitches to judges from the television show Greenlight Maine on Saturday. Representative from Colby and Thomas colleges combined to pitch 12 companies in hopes for a spot on the EMMY-nominated show’s Collegiate Challenge in the spring of 2021.
In all, 18 companies led by college students from across the state were given 12 minutes to pitch to judges Patric Santerre, owner of ARCADIA designworks; Janine Bisaillon-Cary, president of the Montserrat Group; and Tom Morgan, outsourced vice president of sales at Breakthrough Solutions. ....
