ISLE of Wight author, retired lecturer and art dealer, Gerald Davison, has released a new book on Chinese ceramics his fourth volume. His new publication, Marks on Chinese Ceramics, is on sale now, and people are already auctioning them on ebay for upwards of £300. Inscriptions and marks of varying types appeared on Chinese pottery and porcelain with increasing frequency from the Tang Dynasty through to the Republic in the early years of the 20th century. Gerald says the book is the only reference work in any language to deal exhaustively with the entire range of diverse marks. From imperial marks to the many ‘hall’ and auspicious marks used by scholars, collectors, potters and artists, this is the essential new book for those with an interest in Chinese ceramics. ....
About the December 16 forum This forum is designed increase awareness around LGBTQ+ mental health. Three experts who specialize in LGBTQ+ mental health will give short presentations and then engage in a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Koenen. Dr. Gerald Davison, Professor of Psychology at the University of Southern California will present on the ethics and politics of sexual reorientation therapy. Dr. Meyer will present on the minority stress model of health disparities in LGBT people and what we know about its applicability to today’s generation, in view of the many improvements in the legal and social environment for LGBT people. Dr. Meyer is a Williams Distinguished Senior Scholar of Public Policy, School of Law and is Adjunct Professor of Public Health at the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles.
