Noisy Worcester neighbour punched complainer in Brickfields bust-up

A NOISY neighbour repeatedly punched the man who complained about the racket, the victim filming the attack on his mobile phone. Daniel Joseph punched neighbour Kelvin Mrewa several times in the face and knocked him to the floor, kicking him when he was down and also threw a bike at him following a row over noise in Worcester. Joseph ended up either throwing or knocking the victim s mobile phone out of the window, cracking the screen. The 44-year-old of Gamekeepers Drive, Brickfields, Worcester, already stood convicted of assault by beating, criminal damage and failing to surrender to custody when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester on Thursday for sentence.

Scott Fewtrell accelerated to more than 100mph and drove the wrong way down the A449 dual carriageway near Worcester, forcing other motorists to take evasive action and leaving some fearing for their lives. The 25-year-old, who had two passengers with him, travelled the wrong way around several roundabouts and traffic islands, drove the wrong side of keep left bollards and ran a grandmother off the road as he ‘bullied’ his way past terrified motorists. The woman’s two grandchildren were in the car when Fewtrell forced her car off the road.

Jamie Shaw, 69, Stourport A FORMER Stourport councillor and leader of Wyre Forest District Council has admitted making indecent photographs of a child. Jamie Shaw, 69, who served as leader of the council for eight years in the 1990s, pleaded guilty to the crime at Worcester Crown Court on September 11 last year. Shaw, of Heightington Place in Stourport, was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 18 months. The offence was committed in Stourport between January and July 2018 - during which time he was serving as Labour ward member for Areley Kings and Riverside on the district council.
