I've heard people complaining recently that once you've seen the coming attractions trailer for a movie, you've seen the movie. That's the way I felt after seeing the trailer for Franco Amurri's "Flashback," but the film itself is a pleasant surprise - deeper and more original than the formula that the trailer seems to promise. ....
Reed Buckner Sr., 84, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021. He was of the Christian faith and affiliated with Church of God. Reed loved the Lord, church, and gospel music. He enjoyed yard work, gardening and porch sittin’ with family and friends. He never passed up an opportunity for a good trade of any kind. He enjoyed his retirement years, spending time with his loving wife of 64 years, kids and grandkids. Reed was preceded in death by his parents, Callie and John Buckner; and his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Alda Buckner; son, Reed (Teresa) Buckner Jr.; daughters: Barbara (Neal) Dover and Patricia (Ed) Rodden; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. ....

The first Muslim and Palestinian-American elected to the Colorado General Assembly said she never considered running for elected office before it all just fell together. “I’m not used to it yet,” she said in an interview at HiRa Cafe & Patisserie in Aurora, a block away from where she grew up. “I was never advocating or doing social justice work to build a track record,” Jodeh (pronounced E-man JU-dah) said. “The end game was never to be an elected (official).” It was to give a voice and to help others in need, she said, whether through the Interfaith Alliance or Meet the Middle East, the non-profit she started 10 years ago to build relationships between citizens in the United States and the Middle East. ....
