Cuba’s socialist approach to developing vaccines against Covid-19 differs strikingly from that of capitalist nations of the world. Cuba’s production of four vaccines is grounded in science and dedicated to saving the lives of all Cubans, and to international solidarity.
The New York Times’s running report on the world’s vaccine programs shows 67 vaccines having advanced to human trials; 20 of them are in the final phase of trials or have completed them. The United States, China, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, and India have each produced many vaccines; most vaccine-manufacturing countries are offering one or two vaccines.

Some 13 million Ecuadorans are eligible to vote in presidential elections Sunday in which a socialist and a former banker are vying for leadership of a country besieged by deep economic problems.

There’s a reason the authoritarian socialist left took on the enormous moral cost of suppressing free speech. They’ve always wanted to silence their opposition but were unwilling to pay the price in the loss of their moral code and their false façade as defenders of liberty.
Crossing that line means the left can no longer claim to be
‘liberal’ or the champions of liberty. Taking that step means they have joined the ranks of infamous authoritarian regimes down through history. They join the USSR and Nazi Germany and others who have suppressed free speech and freedom of the press along with trying to deprive the people of their common sense human right of self-defense.
