KOKRAJHAR: In a goodwill gesture towards the underprivileged women vendors, especially the orange vendors on the roadside on the way to Kokrajhar, the official assistants of the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC, Pramod Boro on Tuesday distributed big umbrellas to women vendors of oranges at National Highway-31, Karigaon in Kokrajhar. Each umbrella had Welcome to Kokrajhar, the City of Peace written on it.
Sources said that as many as 32 large umbrellas were distributed among orange vendors at Karigaon in the first phase. Similar distribution will be done within four days to women vendors in other areas. ....
