The McGowan government has rejected calls to establish a new inquiry into the death of seven-year-old Morley Primary School student Aishwarya Aswath at Perth Children’s Hospital on April 3.
On Tuesday, the opposition moved a motion to establish an inquiry to run in addition to the current ‘root cause analysis’ investigation, but was voted down by Labor.
Aishwarya’s condition deteriorated while she waited in the emergency department of the Perth Children’s Hospital. ....

A Stellenbosch University (SU) student representative council (SRC) member was killed in what was believed to have been a hit-and-run incident.
In a statement, the university said Nomzamo Buthelezi had died in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Information available to the university is that Buthelezi passed away after suffering injuries caused by an alleged hit-and-run incident in Merriman Avenue, Stellenbosch, the university said.
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said a culpable homicide case had been opened for investigation. ....

A Stellenbosch University (SU) student representative council (SRC) member was killed in what was believed to have been a hit-and-run incident.
In a statement, the university said Nomzamo Buthelezi had died in the early hours of Saturday morning.
