Synopsis
Election Commission has laid out an elaborate security plan to ensure smooth and safe conduct of elections. In total, 31 Police Observers have been deployed by ECI for the State, out of which 9 of them have been deployed for Phase III. In the polling stations itself, 986 Micro Observers will monitor the poll process .

So far, the poll percentage from the 47 ACs of Phase I held on 27th March in Assam was 79.97%. Voter turnout from the 39 ACs of Phase II held on 1st April was 80.96 %.
