Greater Midland North and Coleman family centers each received over $10,000 in funds from the Midland 100 Club. The funds will be used to support projects and programs focused on outreach in their respective communities.
“The Midland 100 Club’s contributions will directly impact our community efforts including basic needs, food security and connection to critical resources,” said Andrea Secrease, executive director of the Family Centers. “Greater Midland North & Coleman Family Centers are incredibly grateful for this generous support.” ....

Rescuers report saving 30 animals at abandoned Floyd residence

On Feb. 12, Kentucky State Police and numerous animal rescue agencies reported rescuing more than 30 animals from a residence in Floyd County.
According to Floyd County Judge-Executive Robbie Williams, the fiscal court was made aware of the situation around a week or so ago, due to a report called into his office. County personnel visited the residence. During that visit, Williams said, they were met by a female resident who claimed the animals. ....

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) - Mount Pleasant police are warning drivers to avoid the area of a water main break.
Police reported the break on Chuck Dawley Boulevard near Coleman Boulevard at approximately 1:16 p.m. Police warned drivers to avoid alternate routes to avoid the area.
As of 1:30 p.m., the eastbound side of Dawley Boulevard was down to one lane. ....
