Jute is back in golden glory again: Dastagir

Dhaka, Dec 15, 2020 [BSS)- Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi said that Bengal’s jute has returned to its golden glory.
The minister was speaking at a fair and exhibition of multipurpose jute products at the Jute Diversification Promotion Center (JDPC) in the capital today noon, said a release here.
“The lost glory and tradition of jute has come back. New and versatile products made of jute is constantly being discovered,” the minister said.
“Jute products are no more old and traditional…The old products have now moved to new heights with various new products,” he added. ....
