Updated: 5:07 PM EDT June 1, 2021 COLUMBUS, Ind. A man is dead after an early morning stabbing in Columbus. Police said officers responded to the Quail Run Apartments around 6 a.m. Tuesday on a reported stabbing. Officers located a man with multiple stab wounds. Medics transported the man to a Columbus Regional Hospital, where he died. Detectives arrested 19-year-old Daniel J. Denny on a preliminary charge of murder. Columbus, IN, USA / MOJO 102.9 May 27, 2021 | 10:47 AM COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus police officers arrested a local man Wednesday evening on multiple charges after he was reportedly intoxicated and crashed into two vehicles. Around 8:50 p.m., CPD officers responded to the area of Jonesville Road and County Road 200 South in regards to the crashes. When officers arrived, they spoke to a witness who advised that a black truck, driven by Jason Ballard, 45, of Columbus, rear ended a car at the intersection. Ballard reportedly fled the scene of the accident and crashed into a second vehicle on Jonesville Road. When officers spoke with Ballard, they noted that his speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. Ballard was given a portable breath test and provided a breath sample of .277%. He was then transported to Columbus Regional Hospital where a blood draw was conducted. Ballard was later placed under arrest and remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail. He is ....
