Barcelona-based multi-day package tour operator Exoticca has closed a new funding round at $30 million. The firm intends to use the funding to accelerate growth and is banking on strong consumer desire to once again set off into the wild blue yonder as borders begin to reopen. To date, the company has raised a total of $53 million.
Founded in 2013, Exoticca operates in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany and Spain, and handcrafts package tours to over 50 destinations worldwide. Ixigo, a online travel and transit booking app based in India, has raised a $53 million round of funding, according to regulatory filings for parent entity Le Travenues Technology.
GIC, the sovereign wealth fund of Singapore, led the round, the Economic Times first reported. Ixigo told Skift that it had not released an official statement regarding the press reports. ....
