Date Time NZ police seek man who may have information on death of Rau Tongia Police investigating the death of Rau Tongia in Karori are seeking a person who was given a ride in this vehicle (pictured) in the early hours of 20 December. Between 3am and 4am on the Sunday morning before Christmas, a man was picked up on Kent Terrace and driven to Mount Victoria after being offered a ride by the two female occupants. Police are confident that he is not connected to the homicide but believe he may have information that could assist in the investigation. The vehicle is a silver 2007 Nissan Dualis. ....

News from Wellington Film Society The Wellington Film Society heads into its 75th year of screening with Spike Lee’s 1989 masterpiece Do the Right Thing, set to ignite the giant Embassy Theatre screen during American Black History month. After COVID-19 disrupted the cinema experience in 2020, the Film Society is back with three films from the acclaimed American filmmaker. Clockers (1995) and Bamboozled (2000) will round out the trio of Spike Lee films joints. “WFS is thrilled to celebrate Spike Lee’s work in 2021.
