WARSAW â The number of active COVID-19 cases increased Wednesday in Livingston and Wyoming counties. A total of 120 active cases were reported in the two counties. That compares to 107 cases reported on Tuesday. In the meantime, the two counties reported 30 new cases and 16 recoveries. Genesee and Orleans counties no longer issue daily briefings. Updates are reserved for Tuesdays and Fridays. Hereâs a county-by-county look at the data: Wyoming County reported 12 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing its overall total to 2,680 community cases since the pandemic began, according to the Wyoming County Health Department. Five of the new cases are under the age of 20, one in his or her 20s, one in his or her 30s, seven in his or her 40s, one in his or her 50s, and one in his or her 60s. ....
WARSAW â Two new COVID-19 related deaths were reported Tuesday in the GLOW region. One of the deaths was reported in Wyoming County. It marks the countyâs first death since April 12. The other death was reported in Genesee County. Both deaths were reported by New York State. The deaths came as a total of 237 active cases were reported throughout the GLOW region. Thatâs a significant decrease compared to the 310 active cases reported Friday. Friday was the last time all four counties reported updated data comprehensively. In the meantime, Genesee and Orleans counties reported a total of 69 new coronavirus cases since Friday. The number of recoveries was not available. ....
GENESEO â The number of active COVID-19 cases tumbled over the past weekend in Livingston and Wyoming counties. The two counties reported a total of 108 active cases as of Monday afternoon. Thatâs 51 fewer cases compared to Friday. Updated statistics from Genesee and Orleans counties werenât available. The two counties are now sending elecronic updates on Tuesdays and Fridays only. Hereâs a county-by-county look at the data: Genesee County on Friday had a total of 5,161 cases since the pandemic arrived in the region in March 2020. A total of 69 cases were active as of Friday, with five people hospitalized. New York state continues to report a total of 122 COVID-19-related deaths in Genesee County â an increase of one. ....
BATAVIA â Genesee and Orleans counties are changing their COVID-19 update schedule. Electronic press briefings will only be sent out bi-weekly at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays. The narrative and charts of the new cases will include the previous days. The two counties will report the total number of positive cases, ages, the number of active cases and mandatory isolation. State facility data will be included on Fridays. The counties will no longer be reporting by region, facility data, negative and recovered numbers. Hospitalizations and ages of new positive individuals will be reported in their narrative. The total age breakdown and potential community exposure risks will continue to be posted on their websites. In the meantime, a total of 310 active cases was reported Friday in the GLOW region, an increase of three compared to Thursday. A total of 49 new cases were reported and 46 recoveries. ....
BATAVIA â A total of 319 active COVID-19 cases was reported Thursday in the GLOW region. The number represents a decrease from Wednesday, when 357 active cases were reported. In the meantime, 47 new cases and 68 new recoveries were reported. Hereâs a county-by-county look at the data: Genesee County on Thursday reported seven new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 5,068 cases since the pandemic arrived in the region in March 2020. The individuals are under the age of 20 and in their 40s, 50s and 60s. The new cases include people in the countyâs eastern, and central regions.
