The MSU School of Packaging is celebrating the first two alumnae who have made campaign gifts to the Packaging Building Renovation.
Packaging alumnae Jessie Lewis, ’92 and ‘94, and Gail Tavill, ’90, have made campaign gifts to support graduate student study space for the Packaging Building Renovation.

Gail Tavill have made the first two campaign gifts from women graduates to the MSU School of Packaging Building Renovation.
Campaign gifts from Lewis and Tavill will fund study space dedicated for graduate students in the School of Packaging building. This renovated space will facilitate collaboration and updated connectivity to support remote learning and graduate teaching assistants. ....

City council will be asked Monday to support a program geared towards reducing plastic use in Sault Ste. Marie.
The Plastic Free Pledge Program mimics a similar program launched in Sudbury and other communities last year.

The unique aspect about the program is that it is volunteer based and can be used by homeowners, businesses, institutions and the city.

US converter Pregis is partnering with Circular Great Lakes (CGL), a regional initiative focused initially on keeping valuable plastics materials out of the waste stream and the environment.
The mission behind CGL’s ‘future without waste’ initiative aligns with the Pregis Purpose to ‘Protect, Preserve & Inspyre’ and its 2k30 sustainability goals. Pregis is committed to achieving circularity through product design and making end-of-life collection easier for consumers so materials can be brought back through the supply chain through recycling and reuse.
