Season ticket holders have gone into a ballot for the game against Salford, with places will be allocated to 4,000 fans in line with government regulations. The club is currently notifying successful fans - along with details of admission. The playing group are looking forward to the spectators filling the four sides of the ground again - and bringing the noise, atmosphere and encouragement with them. “It is exciting for the coaching staff and the players. The club had taken the precaution of keeping the former Golden Boot out an extra week and he had come through well in training. But he pulled up in the opening moments of Friday s Challenge Cup win over Huddersfield. Coach Kristian Woolf said: I think it is the same injury. There are no questions of bringing him back too early as he has trained fully for the last week and had has done everything asked of him. ....
Bentley was carried off in agony in the closing stages of Saints’ victory over Leigh on Friday. His terrier like displays were a big part of Saints winning the Grand Final last year and he will be a huge loss – although Kristian Woolf expects him back before the end of season. Woolf said: “Obviously it is not good news. He does have a break in his leg and there is a bit of damage to his ankle as well. “It is a complicated one and he is going to go in for surgery later this week and he will be out for an extended period of time. ....
