Notably, the number of U.S. bankruptcy filings by companies with over $100 million in assets increased by 84 percent during the first three quarters of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019. Apartments slated for old Hitchiner building January 28, 2021LITTLETON The historic Hitchiner Manufacturing building on Beacon Street will soon become home to more than 100 upscale apartments. Derry-based developer Al Croteau recently entered into a purchase and sales agreement with existing property owner Bob Chapman with the intention to make housing available by next spring. The multi-phase, 140,000 square-foot project could potentially include mixed-use commercial and retail spaces, said Croteau. We plan to put in between 125 and 145 apartments, that will be a blend of studio and one-bedroom units. Amenities will include a lounge area, a gym, WiFi-enabled workspaces, storage units and a laundry area. There will likely be some type of dog park on the property as well, he added. ....
