Victoria has recorded six new cases of coronavirus on the first day of its fifth lockdown of the pandemic, including two people who picked up the virus at Melbourne’s iconic Young and Jackson’s hotel.
Ten new cases were recorded in the 24 hours to midnight, all linked to current outbreaks. Four of the cases in the official tally on Friday were revealed on Thursday.

Electoral division names
The augmented Electoral Commission has adopted the majority of the names proposed by the Redistribution Committee for Victoria.
The exception is the decision to retain the name of the Division of Corangamite, which was previously proposed to be renamed the Division of Tucker.

The augmented Electoral Commission has modified the Redistribution Committee’s initial redistribution proposal by placing:
that portion of Berwick located south of Greaves Road and west of Clyde Road in the proposed Division of Bruce
the Redistribution Committee had proposed placing this portion of Berwick in the proposed Division of Holt
