Sale school marches 2,470 miles Ââ inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore ANDREW Grainger, the head of PE at Manor Academy, the Sale special needs school for children aged 11-19, is proud of his pupils and staff. In a money-raising exercise for Place2be-Children’s Mental Health, the 190 pupils and 65 staff exceeded the 600 miles they were asked to walk and, instead, completed 2470 miles! Before that, Mr Grainger had, himself, completed a 100 mile challenge despite having a bad leg, along with two other staff members.
