Restoration work underway at Jammu-Srinagar NH following landslide ANI | Updated: Jan 07, 2021 14:04 IST Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], January 7 (ANI): After a landslide was reported on the Udhampur district s Samroli area here, restoration work has been initiated at the National Highway, the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police informed on Thursday. Kashmir has been receiving heavy snowfall since Monday which has disrupted road traffic. Some areas have also reported landslides leading to stone accumulation in several parts. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain and thundershowers were observed at a few places in the Union Territory on Wednesday. The bad weather had resulted in the suspension of both air and road traffic in various areas along with Jammu and Kashmir, especially Srinagar. ....

Jammu-Srinagar NH blocked due to landslide, snow accumulation ANI | Updated: Dec 12, 2020 11:02 IST Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], December 12 (ANI): Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been blocked due to snow accumulation at Jawahar Tunnel, informed Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police on Saturday. Landslides and stone accumulation has also occurred at several places. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), generally cloudy sky with light rain is expected in Srinagar today as the minimum temperature is recorded at one-degree Celsius and the maximum at 10-degree Celsius. Srinagar has been covered in a blanket of snow as the temperature has dropped here. IMD had also forecasted on Friday that fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/snowfall is very likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh and isolated rainfall/snowfall over Uttarakhand d ....
