Middle Tennessee State University officials broke ground last Tuesday on a 54,000-square-foot, $40.1 million School of Concrete and Construction Management building. The facility is expected to be completed in 15 months in time for Fall 2022 classes. It features classrooms and laboratory space for Concrete Industry Management and Construction Management programs. âWe mark yet another milestone in the universityâs strategic path to educate and prepare students to fulfill workplace demands,â MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee told attendees at the ceremony. âOur undergraduate and graduate programs in Concrete and Construction Management position this institution as the go-to educational resource for students seeking to become leaders in these fields.â ....

Starting Thursday, April 1, fifty trucks and 500 cubic yards of concrete will be poured down 17 th Street towards Alger Avenue. When the pour commences, one-way traffic with flaggers will be utilized around the work zone. Drivers can anticipate delays all day Thursday and at least part of Friday, depending on progress.
