Ozark High s JROTC wins four national championships in single year From News Reports View Comments In a rare feat, the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps at Ozark High School won four national championships in a single year. The first JROTC national championship was won at the end of February and the final two were in early May. JROTC Raider instructor Maj. Danny Cazier said there are more than 3,400 JROTC program eligible to complete including at least 1,700 Army JROTC programs. “A national championship is an incredible achievement, Cazier said. “Achieving simultaneous national championships in a single sport is also extremely uncommon. Achieving simultaneous national championships in different sports is even more rare. Simultaneous national championships in three different sports is almost beyond belief. Achieving four national championships total in a single year is just surreal.” ....

The two new facilities are the Ozark Innovation Center and the Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center. Superintendent Chris Bauman says the Innovation Center was made possible when the city passed a bond issue in the past, allowing the district to buy the space for the center. The Innovation Center will be an extension of programs for high school students grades 9-12. As of now, Ozark High School has students 10-12, but Bauman says ninth graders will be back in the high school building with the completion of the Innovation Center. ....
