Ministers warned: Own govt decisions or resign, says PM Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said that ministers should show some ownership towards the decisions of the government and if they disagree, they may resign from their posts .
The premier was speaking during a meeting of the federal cabinet, Geo News reported. According to sources, during the meeting, Adviser on Institutional Reforms and Austerity Ishrat Hussain briefed the members of the meeting about the situation of state institutions.
Imran Khan lamented that even after two and a half years, no reforms could be introduced in the state institutions and the system of governance could not be improved either. He said there is no room for error, and attention must be paid to resolving people’s problems. Sources added that the prime minister summoned a report on the performance of the Ministry of Law for judicial reforms. ....

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said that “ministers should show some ownership towards the decisions of the government” and “if they disagree, they may resign from their posts .

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Tuesday expressed no confidence in the office of Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP), with Prime Minister Imran Khan saying that corruption amounting to over Rs180 billion had been unearthed in the institution, according to Science Minister Fawad Chaudhry.
A cabinet meeting, presided over by the prime minister, decided to form an inter-ministerial committee in the light of recent revelation of the owner of UK-based assets recovery firm, Broadsheet LLC, that some people, including former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, had tried to influence the inquiry. ....

ISLAMABAD: A judicial inquiry into the killing of Osama Satti conducted by the additional deputy commissioner Islamabad has recommended that officials of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) should never jointly work with the regular force without permission from the superintendent of police (SP).
Chief Commissioner Islamabad Aamir Ahmed Ali had ordered the judicial inquiry to establish facts and fix responsibility over the incident in which the Crisis Response Team (CRT) of the ATS gunned down the 21-year-old on Srinagar Highway early on Jan 2. ....
