Governor Beshear announced 137 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the state’s total case number to 458,712. 34 of the new cases were children 18 and younger. 324 Kentuckians remain hospitalized with 111 in the ICU. 56 patients remain on a ventilator. The state’s positivity rate stayed mostly steady at 2.50%. Gov. Beshear also announced 261 deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 7,067. At least 2,058,029 Kentuckians have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Because of increased vaccination numbers, Gov. Beshear announced that senior centers will reopen at full capacity on June 11. At last report none of the state’s 120 counties is in the red zone on the state’s COVID-19 incidence rate map. U.S. Marshals arrested Patrick Baker Monday morning. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center. Baker was convicted of reckless homicide in 2017 for the death of Donald Mills. He served two years of a 19-year sentence before he was released. Mills’ sister, Melinda Mills told WKYT-TV the ATF contacted her saying Baker is facing federal charges in connection to her brother’s death. Baker’s federal indictment alleges he committed a robbery and kidnapping, during which the death of Donald Mills occurred by use of a firearm and a quantity of pills containing oxycodone were taken. Baker appeared in court for an arraignment hearing Tuesday afternoon. A not guilty plea was entered for Baker. A detention hearing is now set for Friday afternoon at ....

According to the arrest citation, 54-year-old John Clark was in Pulaski County when he stopped and threatened to stab a woman who was walking on the side of the highway unless she got into his car. Troopers say he then drove her to London where he got a motel room. Investigators say he kept her from leaving the room, but she managed to escape when he went to the bathroom and get help from other people at the motel. Clark was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center. ....

When deputies arrived they found 28-year-old Enoch G. Smith on the front porch of the house. Smith told police he was a rapper and was singing for people in the house. Deputies say Smith was under the influence and was in possession of a hypodermic needle. Smith was arrested and charged with terroristic threatening, possession of drugs and public intoxication. Smith was also charged on a previous warrant for not appearing in court on numerous violations. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center. ....
