Bethel Native Emma Nielsen Presents Project at Research and Creative Activity Day Written by SUNY Oneonta Emma Nielsen from Bethel participated in SUNY Oneonta s annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day event. Typically the event is hosted in a two-day, on-campus event. This year projects were presented virtually for the public to view. All presentations can be found on the Student Research and Creative Activity Day web page. Nielsen developed an original project titled Tapeworms of Oneida Lake Fishes: Then & Now under the guidance of Florian Reyda. Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research and Creative Activity Day has become the premier event for the scholarly student exhibition. MAYVILLE – The Valley City State women’s basketball team ended its season at Mayville State Tuesday, falling in a hard-fought battle to the Comets, 56-53. Valley City State finishes the season with an 8-13 overall record and a 6-8 conference record. Mayville State (14-7) continues its postseason campaign on Thursday against the winner of tonight’s Dakota State/Presentation matchup. Macey Kvilvang set a new school record with seven blocked shots Tuesday. She also scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Vikings. Dakota State finished with four free throws to seal the 87-80 victory over the Vikings and remain undefeated in conference play. The Trojans improve to 21-3 overall.
