Coronavirus cluster: COVID-19 alert for Brisbane pub after infected Sydney woman visits

People who visited the Glen Hotel at Eight Mile Plains after 11.30am on December 16 are being urged to get tested for COVID-19, after a woman from Sydney visited the establishment while she was infectious.
The woman in her 50s picked up the virus as part of the Sydney Northern Beaches cluster that has escalated in the past few days, with 28 cases linked to that outbreak.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has revealed Queensland has three new cases of COVID-19 - two in hotel quarantine and the third a woman from Sydney s Northern Beaches.
Ms Palaszczuk said the woman visited the Sunshine Coast and The Glen Hotel in Eight Mile Plains.
She said there was no concern about where the woman visited on the Sunshine Coast, but contact tracing would be done for the Eight Mile Plains area.
Ms Palaszczuk said she was on high alert.ief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said the woman aged in her 50s flew on a Virgin flight VA 925 on December 16 arriving in Brisbane Airport at 9.30am ....

The Christmas plans of Queenslanders hoping to reunite with southern relatives hung in the balance on Friday night, as NSW authorities put Sydney on its highest alert and urged residents to wear a mask.
Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young couldn t say on Friday whether the state s border would shut to greater Sydney before Christmas, warning further hot spots could be declared should community transmission grow.
The NSW government was forced to bring in new measures after an international airline crew breached quarantine restrictions, with all crews now required to isolate at two designated hotels near the airport under police guard. ....
