July 19, 2021 The Alkhidmat Foundation the Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) welfare wing spent Rs8.2 billion rupees for the public welfare and some 24 million individuals were directly helped by the organisation, showed the charity’s annual report released on Saturday. Briefing the media about the charity’s progress at the Idara Noor-e-Haq, JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman and the Alkhidmat Chief Executive Naveed Ali Baig said the charity had played an active role during the Covid-19 epidemic and distributed not only rations and cooked food among tens of thousands of the affected people but also personal protection equipment against Covid-19 among frontline fighters, including doctors and nurses in both public and private sectors medical facilities. ....
JI distributes Eid gifts among affected families of Baldia factory inferno Karachi May 6, 2021 The Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chapter has distributed Eid gifts and ration packages among affected families of the Baldia factory inferno - the largest man-made industrial disaster in the history of Pakistan. The gifts were distributed among the families at an Iftar ceremony hosted by a special desk formed by the party’s Public Aid Committee to provide legal aid, guidance and monetary support to the affected families. JI Karachi Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman criticised the system that allowed the mastermind of the inferno to roam around freely and address so-called political gatherings. “Residents of Baldia Town have completely rejected such personalities in the NA-249 by-poll,” said Rehman, while addressing the event held at the Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI Karachi headquarters. ....
JI minority wing leaders demand expulsion of French envoy Karachi April 23, 2021 A group of activists belonging to the Christian community and leaders of the minority wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami demanded of the federal government on Thursday to expel the French ambassador in protest against the French president’s blasphemous comments he had made last year. Addressing a joint press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the Christian leaders along with JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman strongly condemned the French ruling regime for hurting the sentiments of almost two billion Muslims across the globe. The speakers urged the government to have some courage and “come out of the hysteria of economic setbacks”. On the occasion, JI leader Rehman said the difference between the exports to France and the imports from that country was not so big as to cause a collapse of the economy. ....
