April 6, 2021 ISLAMABAD: PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal on Monday said the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was just political novice. Talking to the media after appearing at an accountability court, Ahsan said Bilawal should not issue such statements that could politically harm his party, reported INP. “He will learn with the passage of time,” he added. Criticising the ruling PTI, Ahsan referred to the prime minister statement in which he said he could not implement his vision amidst non-cooperation of the judiciary. “What kind of cooperation does he want? I demand the judiciary to telecast live our cases so that the nation knows about the reality of the cases. Imran Khan has nothing in his bag but random stories. National April 4, 2021 ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Saturday said the plea bargain is deemed conviction as the accused confesses his guilt in writing. “The accused requesting plea bargain not only confesses his guilt in writing before an accountability court but also agrees to return all looted money,” he said in a statement on Saturday. He said the accused can apply for plea bargain as per Clause 25-B of the NAB Ordinance and the NAB examines the plea bargain application as per law. The liability of the accused is determined on the basis of his looted money with markup and after determination of total liability of the accused, the NAB forwards the request of plea bargain of the accused along with his total liability for final approval of the respective accountability court. “The accountability court approves the request for a plea bargain. 23rd February, 2021 10:07:24 A fugitive convict in the August 21 grenade attack case was arrested from his hideouts in Diabari area of the capital early on Tuesday. The arrested is Iqbal Hossain alias Jahangir and Selim, a militant of Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami Bangladesh (HuJI), who was awarded life in prison in the case. Iqbal hurled powerful grenades at the stage of anti-terrorism rally of Awami League on August 21 in 2004, said RAB Director General Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun. He said this while briefing journalists at RAB Kawran Media Centre in the capital at noon. The RAB officer said the 47-year-old notorious militant directly hurled grenades targeting the stage of Bangladesh Awami League’s rally as per directive of militant leader Mufti Hannan. ....
