Environmental advocates have reasons to be hopeful for 2021.
Last year had its ups and down for environmental advocates and their efforts to curtail the effects of climate change.
Shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic led to less use of fossil fuels for a while. However, single-use plastics and “disposable” masks added to an already large problem of plastic pollution. Ocean environmental advocacy group Oceans Asia estimates 1.56 billion face masks entered the oceans in 2020. ....
