Normal? No, the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs will not be normal. Not quite.
The coronavirus pandemic is not over.
But there are signs normalcy is returning, like green shoots in spring.
Sixteen teams. Four rounds of best-of-7 series. Teams playing at home or traveling to their opponents cities. Fans in the stands, at least to varying degrees in the United States. COVID-19 protocols relaxed, at least for teams with 85 percent of the traveling party fully vaccinated. ....

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner said that NHL players were lied to by NHLPA representatives about loosening restrictions after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, a claim that has been disputed by the league.

Canucks up to 14 players on NHL COVID-19 protocol list

The Vancouver Canucks have had 21 players test positive for COVID-19.
A total of 25 people associated with the Canucks have tested positive, including four staff members.
Defenseman Nate Schmidt was added to the NHL COVID-19 protocol list Wednesday. Forward Jake Virtanen was added Tuesday after one player Monday, two Sunday, seven Saturday, five Friday, one Thursday and one last Tuesday.
The NHL has postponed six Vancouver games, through April 10: at home against the Calgary Flames on March 31, at the Edmonton Oilers on April 3, at the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday and Tuesday, and at Calgary on Thursday and Saturday. ....
