Hon Amos Lugoloobi has just been appointed as State Minister for Finance awaiting vetting by the Appointments Committee. 
Uganda’s per capita income is increasing steadily. In Financial Year 2015/16 it was US$ 808 and is projected to increase to US$ 932 in Financial Year 2020/21. 
Coffee remains the leading agricultural export earning US$ 497.4 million in the Financial Year 2019/20. Dairy exports fetched US$ 204.5 million, while Tea exports earned US$ 71 million in Financial Year 2019/20. ....

Working in both the greenhouse and the field vegetable sectors gave me the opportunity to see a number of different operations. At both of the operations where I worked, we worked relentlessly to capture more and more of the value chain to make our operations more profitable. ....

Corruption has an immensely corrosive effect on the rule of law, on trust in institutions.
It slows development, it drains the wealth of poorer nations. It keeps their people trapped in poverty.
It poisons the well of democracy around the world.
Whistleblowers and those who seek to expose corruption are targeted.
Some have paid the ultimate price with their lives, including of course Sergei Magnitsky himself – the inspiration for our Human Rights Sanctions regime. ....
